DC to AC converter chips transfer a DC input into AC power by using switching, inversion, or other technology. A DC to AC converter chip is designed to convert the input direct current into output alternating current. A DC to AC converter works on the principle of switching and then inverting the electrical signal. The voltage in the form of square wave is an input to the DC AC power converter which on passing through the designed electrical circuit outputs as sine wave. The output voltage change is frequent between the positive and negative ends of the voltage cycle. There are many types of DC to AC converter chips. Examples include DC to AC television and DC to AC inverters. DC to AC television is a widely used portable television set and can operate either with the direct electric current or with alternating current supply. A DC to AC inverter is widely used as a home appliance in situations when the normal power supply is switched off. Other DC to AC converter chips are commonly available.

There are several ways in which DC to AC converter chips function. A DC to AC converter chip converts an electric signal by converting the square DC wave into a sine AC wave using a DC to AC converter schematic electrical circuit. A DC to AC converter circuit of DC to AC television requires a 3-way power source for operating which is equivalent to an AC adapter or car battery. It requires 24mA current for its operation. A DC to AC inverter acts as a power converter using 12 to 24 volts of DC supply for converting it to AC supply. A DC to AC inverter can work in an operating temperature of range from -20 to 125 ºC. DC to AC converter chips are designed and manufactured to meet most industry specifications.
