About Specialty Amplifier Chips
Specialty amplifier chips are specialty or proprietary products and accessories related to amplifier chips. Amplifier chips are used to augment an electrical signal by using transistors and include different types of chips. For example, one type of specialty amplifier chip includes a pulse width modulated or PWM amplifier chip, which is used to generate a current that switches between high and low output.
Other types of specialty amplifier chips include operational amplifier chips, instrumentation amplifier chips, and differential amplifier chips. Specialty amplifier chips can be created for high-precision applications, for applications that have two different signal levels, or can be used as closed loop devices in signal processing circuits, instrumentation, and control circuits. An operational amplifier chip, commonly called an op amp chip, is used to compare two incoming signals and output a third signal that is an amplified measure of the difference between the two incoming signals. Specialty amplifier chips for precision applications are typically instrumentation amplifier chips. An instrumentation amplifier chip is used for very accurate, low-noise measurements because of its high input impedance and high common-mode rejection. Another type of chip is a differential amplifier chip, which can amplify small differences between two signals and ignore any common level the two incoming signals may share. Differential amplifier chips are useful when a signal has traveled long distance and may have added interference.
